About Gretchen Gramer, SLP

Gretchen Gramer is a certified speech-language pathologist who helps children and their families reach their communication goals through individualized, evidence-based care. She brings warmth, creativity, and a deep belief in each child's potential to every session. Gretchen especially loves working with children who have complex communication needs, meeting each one where they are and partnering closely with parents and caregivers, so progress continues at home.

Gretchen earned both her Bachelor of Arts in speech-language-hearing sciences and her Master of Arts in speech-language pathology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, completing the program's bilingual and multicultural emphasis. Over her career she has supported children with a wide range of needs — including autism, genetic syndromes, cerebral palsy, trauma history, and receptive and expressive language disorders — across outpatient clinics and schools. She has a particular passion for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), helping children find their voice when spoken language alone isn't enough.

A northern Minnesota native, Gretchen grew up in Brainerd and is excited to return home after several years practicing out of state. She is an intermediate Spanish speaker and previously worked as a bilingual school-based speech-language pathologist. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys textile arts such as knitting, sewing, and embroidery, as well as skiing, camping, dancing, and spending time on the water. She shares her home with her cat, Rosie.
