Hawa Haji-Hassan is a licensed master social worker with extensive experience providing individual, family, and group therapy across community mental health, integrated healthcare, and crisis settings. She conducts comprehensive mental health assessments, including evaluation of co-occurring substance use, and develops individualized, strengths-based treatment plans for patients across the lifespan. She draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and she is experienced in crisis intervention and community referrals.
She is committed to culturally responsive, bilingual care, providing psychotherapy informed by an understanding of patients' diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. She collaborates closely with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate treatment and support holistic patient outcomes, and she has experience training and supervising other clinical staff. Her background also includes parent training for families of children on the autism spectrum and facilitation of therapeutic groups focused on self-care and recovery.
