About Karin Beal, LCSW

Karin Beal is a licensed clinical social worker who has spent more than two decades supporting children, adolescents, and families. As a child and adolescent psychotherapist, she draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, play therapies, and solution-focused approaches, with additional training in motivational interviewing and acceptance and commitment therapy. Her focus areas include children, parenting, and family systems.

She tailors her approach to each person's unique needs, recognizing that every life brings its own adventures, challenges, and stressors. Karin sees herself as a guide who walks alongside patients, pausing for reflection and creating a sense of healing so the path forward becomes easier to navigate. Her passion for pediatric behavioral health began in high school, volunteering in a special needs classroom, and she believes helping our most vulnerable populations grow creates a greater impact on society as a whole.

Beyond the clinic, Karin has led therapeutic day camps for children with special needs and volunteered at a camp for children with Tourette syndrome. She earned her Master of Social Work with a clinical focus from George Williams College of Aurora University and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. An avid outdoorswoman, she enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, and quilting with her husband, Nick, and their two German shorthaired pointers.
