Dr. Lauren Canaan is a board-certified pediatrician who cares for children from birth through young adulthood. Her experience spans well-child visits, newborn care, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) visits, and she has attended high-risk and preterm deliveries and performed newborn procedures in both hospital and clinic settings. She believes pediatric care should feel less like a clinical appointment and more like a partnership. Dr. Canaan meets kids and parents exactly where they are, using mutual respect and plenty of fun to make doctor visits stress-free, and she loves building lifelong connections that help families thrive. She chose pediatrics because it ties together her two favorite things: medicine and working with children and their families.
After serving as pediatric chief resident at Baylor Scott and White McLane Children's Medical Center, Dr. Canaan returned home to Minnesota to be closer to family. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Outside the clinic, she enjoys calligraphy, audiobooks, and exploring local trails with her husband, daughter, and dogs.
