About Nilam Khurana
Dr. Khurana is a board-certified pediatrician who specializes in general pediatric care and complex medical care, including complex medical and developmental diagnoses. She also specializes in the management of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities and mood disorders within the primary care setting. She combines Western medicine and Eastern traditions to treat the whole child, working with families to find the right balance for each patient.
She is certified to perform numerous assessments in the field of pediatrics and stays closely connected to the latest research, assessment, and treatment options for young children. She also serves on the developmental screening committee of the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, is a clinical preceptor for the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, and remains active in research collaborations. Current research involves collaboration with the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, and Phoenix Children's Hospital to validate the dyslexia screening tool she co-created.
Dr. Khurana graduated with honors from the University of Arizona and earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at the Phoenix Children's Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center program, followed by autism diagnostic training through Phoenix Children's Early Access to Care program.
In her personal life, Nilam is a proud mother of two exceptional girls. She and her family enjoy spending time together, traveling, hiking, kayaking, golfing, and anything to do with nature.
