Phillip (Zhen) Chan, MD is a board-certified pediatrician with a strong commitment to preventative medicine, family partnership, and thoughtful innovation in pediatric care. He values collaboration and enjoys supporting families across a wide range of needs, from nutrition and exercise guidance to preventative care and vaccine education, always with a focus on building trust and shared understanding.
Dr. Zhen completed medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Department of Medical Education and his residency at the New York-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center. He completed his master’s in business administration focused on health management and policy at the University of Miami, reflecting his interest in shaping healthcare systems that better serve children and families.
Dr. Zhen sees his role as walking alongside families—through times of illness and the everyday milestones of childhood—while fostering open dialogue, cultural humility, and mutual respect. He strives to ensure families feel heard, empowered, and confident caring for their children both inside and outside the exam room.
When not in the practice, Dr. Zhen is deeply involved in professional advocacy and mentorship. Outside of medicine, he enjoys cooking, exploring and writing about restaurant experiences, playing piano and guitar, and participating in a movie club with friends. He and his spouse share a home with their puppy, Remus.
