About Youhi Ghouse, MD

Dr. Youhi Ghouse is a board-certified pediatrician who provides well-child visits, sick care, immunizations, and urgent care for families in Washington, DC. She brings broad clinical experience from pediatric urgent care and primary care settings, where she performed procedures such as laceration repairs and casting, supervised pediatric residents and medical students, and cared for newborns in the well-baby nursery. She also holds a Master of Public Health with a focus on global health.

Her philosophy of care is rooted in the belief that the first several years of life set the foundation for a lifetime, and that pediatricians hold both a significant responsibility and a privilege in helping children build the healthiest, strongest start. Before medical school, Dr. Ghouse tutored middle school students and taught fourth grade, experiences that deepened her enthusiasm for caring for future generations. She joined Zarminali Pediatrics because it offers the kind of care pediatricians want to provide: enough time with each patient, easy access and follow-up, and comprehensive care.

Beyond the clinic, she has volunteered to provide pediatric care to refugee children in Jordan and mentors first-generation college students interested in science and medicine. Dr. Ghouse earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completed her pediatric residency at Kaiser Oakland, and earned her Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. She loves the DMV's mix of city life, nature, and diverse cultures, and enjoys traveling, pilates, painting, pottery, reading, and time with her four cats.
